Amphibious boat "Khivus-6" is intended for all round the year rescue operations, patrolling, tourism, passenger and medical
operations.

Description:
Hull and cabin . The hull and the cabin of the boat are made of aluminium-magnesium alloy AMg-6M. Riveting is the primary
method of connecting assemblies.. Two leak-proof bulkheads divide the hull of the boat in three compartments: front compartment,
cabin compartment and engine compartment. Such configuration ensures corrosion resistance, strength . levity and high
maintainability.
Skirt. The air-cushion skirt consists of three pressurized walls (two side walls and one transversal), flexible nose and
aft skirt. Each skirt features two-level structure and is divided into four pressurized compartments. The skirt is made of PVC
bades 5-layers cloth with polyurethane additive and fiber reinforcement. Outer sides of skeg top sections are protected with two
layers of cloth (lavsan and PVC coated capron), lower sections are pasted over with polyurethane oilcloth to prevent damages.
Engine. The injector type ZMZ 409 engine of 143 h.p. or diesel engine
Iveco F1C of 146 h.p. can be installed on the boat.
Air propeller. The six-blade low noise air propeller is set in close-fitting duct to increase efficiency and safety.
The blades and the duct are manufactured of fiber glass plastic. The surface of blades is reinforced by material preventing
abrasive wearing. The front of the ring duct is protected by the grid. Air propeller is driven by "Bando" toothed belt.
Propulsion units. Two twelve-blade axial fans are installed on the boat. Fan blades are made of fiber glass plastic
reinforced by material; preventing abrasive wearing. Transmission rotation from engine propeller shaft to reduction gear box
of the propeller is effected by V-belt.
Control system. The boat control system features high efficiency and simplicity. Yaw control is effected by three air
rudder driven from operating wheel (a car wheel) and due to pedal driven variation of pressure in air cushion chambers. Control
system of the boat propulsion system is standard similar to that of a car.
Interior. The boat features a spacious cabin with following dimensions: length-2.50 m; width - 1.85 m; height - 1.34 m.
Glazing of entire cabin perimeter and rear-view mirrors provide a wonderful all-round view. The adjustable driver seat is
installed fore portside and a passenger seat is installed starboard. Two seat folding benches or two lockers are installed after
the seats.
The cabin is finished with capron velour or vinyl leather. It is possible to install a folding bar table. The cabin is heated by
high power car heater. A second autonomous heater of such a type can be installed optionally.
There is a hatch in a top ceiling.
Complete equipment. The boat is equipped with a car steering wheel, instrument panel steering system toggle switches,
storage battery of 75-hour capacity, three windscreen wipers, navigation lights, two search lights, two fog lights, cabin
illumination lights, cigarette lighter - 12V socket, four mooring cleats, two fuel tanks, siren, nose railing, hand grips on the
cabin top. Optionally the boat can be equipped with an anchor with an outboard end, mooring lines, hoisting slings, life jackets,
radio station, rear-view mirrors, stereo radio recorder, electrical skeg pumping system, a heater for pre-start engine warm-up
and cabin heating with the engine off, an electrical winch, a trailer, an air conditioner, GPS etc.
Modifications. Optionally the boat can be modified as per customer's specification and furnished with equipment required
to efficiently perform particular missions.
